What’s good, my Daredevils? It’s me MT and welcome back to another Heavy Spoilers breakdown! Today we are diving into the absolutely phenomenal fifth episode of Daredevil Born Again Season 2…a flashback episode featuring everybody favorite, soon to be slain Foggy Nelson. But thankfully, it’s an episode that doesn’t waste its much anticipated return of actor Elden Hensen…as it highlights exactly what made Foggy Nelson such a special part of both Matt Murdock’s life…and the people of New York as a whole. So I’m gonna practice some mercy of my own by ending this intro so we can just jump right into it!

@JohnnyFromVirginia: Thanks for this breakdown! A few things that I didn’t catch until after watching this. 1. The show started and ended with Vanessa’s ocean audio. That’s heavy and brilliant story foreshadowing making the reflection on episode more rewarding. Another one I didn’t put together was the fact that the two flashback stories at the ending were all about characters whose lives were cut short in this series by a murderous death. Foggy, Wesley and then at the moment not fully realized, Vanessa. Makes me wonder if Cash Money being a strong part of that backstory is another person who is on that same path. Hmmm. And yeah, because of the shot and how bloody up the body was, I didn’t put together who was in the trunk of the car and completely thought it was BB for leaking out the hospital and condition of Vanessa. I stand corrected lol. All I know is, shit is about to truly hit the fan the way they got this set up. In the series before the Disney one’s Daredevil was safeguarded by the fact that Vanessa was always there for him to arrest and make sure Fisk would never see her again if he didn’t keep his mouth shut and all that, well……that’s off the table. He was also the person who “rescued” the guy who murdered Vanessa so he’s going to get a ton of the blame and Fisk comes off like a rabid dog when off his leash and Vanessa was the only thing tethering him to reality. I have reasons to believe a lot of people are going to die over the next few episodes. How on earth does this not end absolutely horribly? Can’t wait to see the rest of the season pan out!
@aldotheapache9951: Great break down. Really great stuff. But I’m curious if you caught that Vanessa didn’t seem to remember any of the cruel or criminal things about Fisk when she woke up. She was horrified at him yelling at the nurse and all of her reactions seem to not know or remember their actual criminal lives. Who do you think they added that in just to kill here before anyone else recognized that she wasn’t really her?
@DarkSagauk: If I remember correctly across pretty much the entire multiverse Vanessa always dies(so was only matter of time), which is usually the catalyst for Fisk to do something terrible that will ultimately lead to him losing everything.This would also explain the watcher showing up as Vanessa's death could be a fixed point that changes a timelines future when it occurs.
@Bhumish_LK: Was that Karen Page when the younger Nelson and Murdock went past a lady outside after saying "…..maybe it's Nelson and Murdock. 'I like that', says Foggy. Next 50 rounds on you. 47! "A woman who likes Karen walks past them thereby completing the name of the future law firm, Nelson, Murdock and Page.
@CrxzyYT: Last week we saw what seemed to be 'The Watcher', now we got the grand design? Something is up…Also, anything that happened in She-Hulk, i personally dont consider canon. That show was horrible and should be boycotted.
