Persona 5 - Trash or Treasure? | Take My Heart

One of the most popular JRPGs in recent years and the game that further heightened the Persona series’ popularity. I’ve put many hours and a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this video, as this game is very special to me, but I hope you all enjoy it!

Persona 5, and now Persona 5 Royal, are very precious games to me. Persona 5 combines turn based RPG gameplay with a social simulator. Persona 5 introduces us to the now iconic Phantom Thieves. Persona 5 took the world by storm when it came out in 2017, becoming one of the most popular games in the Persona series. Join me as I talk about why Persona 5, before Persona 5 Royal came out with all of its changes.

@SonnyFRST: Josh, there were a couple details you missed:1. There are 2 ways to recover SP more consistently than simply relying on items you pick up in Palaces. I won't go into detail for the sake of letting you find out on your own, but I'll saw they revolve around certain Confidants. (Two in particular, both starting quite early)2. Atlus started to get tired of silent protagonists too, for they gave this one more personality than usual. You can pick his lines, sure, but most of the time it boils down to choosing HOW he says things, not WHAT he says per se.3. The game isn't impossible to 100% without a guide. You're meant to use New Game +, which lets you keep your Social Stats, Compendium and those Confidant items you mentioned, which give early access to some of their skills. Also, as you mentioned, the Super Boss is NG+ only.4. Since you didn't mention the whole traitor plot twist, lemme explain what that was about: a lot of people complained that Persona 4's big twist was too predictable, so Atlus fixed it to make the twist itself irrelevant compared to the fact that Joker and the gang…Ya know…

@JadenOmega: Honestly, I like Persona 5 as a game, I love the game's style and the gameplay's greatly improved over P3 & P4 but I love the story and characters from P4 more. Though the story can be darker than P3 sometimes……And I greatly appreciate the palaces in P5 and prefer that to the TV world in P4 and most definitely Tartarus from P3. And the Velvet Room in P5……I'm sorry…..I hate it…..I know why it's a jail cell but that doesn't make me like it, and UGH GOD I hate the wardens here or should I say warden Justine's fine I guess but good god I can't stand Caroline…..Her stuck up jerky attitude reminds me a lot of Ai and I swear to god if she calls me inmate one more time I'll- But yeah, overall I really like Persona 5, I see it as the fire keeping my love for the series burning strong.

@realkingofantarctica: I personally kind of wish that Persona kept the “Shin Megami Tensei” subtitle. Now more people know what Persona is than megaten and it makes me kind of sad. I personally got into the series in 2014 after learning of P4G and while I didn’t play it because I wasn’t going to get a Vita just for one game, I still got invested into the series and also learnt about P3. Alot of the fanbase now only knows about P5 and are clamouring for ports on the Switch, which will just delay Atlus from giving us SMT5. Like, while I want ports of the earlier Persona games, I’d much rather have them on the PS4 and I think having SMT ports would be really good to boost popularity of the series and get people hyped for 5.

@KousakaHonoka12: I honestly wish you would have mentioned all the spoilers in this video considering the plot is not meant to be a mystery is meant to be a pic of a novel pick of asking novels or not about mysteries they are about rogue like heroes who works on the shadows away from the eyes of the public to bring forth a cause to fight for I feel keeping spoilers out is unnecessary because the game pretty much tells you who every single villain is the game does not keep the villains a mystery because this is not a mystery story it is a story of rebellious heroes

@BenderBendingRodriguezOFFICIAL: SP necklaces on all your characters, unlock the social rank to rob people multiple times, give your personas status abilities, put the enemy to sleep, watch them toss 1400 — 19000 yen consistently, rinse and repeat while gaining 7 SP each turn for each character. Made over 700k yen in one fight while recovering SP to full, and I have footage of it on my pc. You can theoretically stay in momentos and the palaces forever this way.Game is easy, beat it with rangda only by the time I got to sae's palace. That said, the game is really good.
